The Distinguished Service Award
was established in 1986; to honor
an Alumni Buffalo Bills player who embodies the essence of dedication
and service to the Buffalo Bills organization and the Western New
York community during his career
– or an individual that has devoted
their time to enhancing the qualities
of the team.
The honoree must be retired from
the NFL, having played a minimum
of five years or been involved in the organization for more than five years.
Candidates are honored during pre-game ceremonies at a regular season game and a luncheon held
the following day by the Monday Quarterback Club.
